Prior Authorization Specialist  

6 Month CTH (Onsite)  

Start Date: ASAP  

Location: Louisville, KY  

 

Requirements:  

• High School Diploma or equivalent required 
• PC literacy, must be able to type 30 wpm with a 95% accuracy (required) 
• At least one year of patient access (preferred) 
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology (preferred) 
• 2 years of direct Prior Authorization experience in imaging and surgery

Responsibilities:

• Ability to think through issues and identify appropriate options

• Proficient in the use of EMR and Microsoft Office Suite
• Able to utilize appropriate computer systems to perform ICD-10 code look up. 
• Demonstrates a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times
• Maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive data at all times
• Adheres to organizational and department specific safety standards and guidelines
• Works collaboratively and supports efforts of team members
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with physicians, patients, residents, visitors, staff and the broader health care community
