Job Summary

The primary role of the Sales & Market Manager is to lead sales and market development efforts in their area of responsibilities. The Sales & Market Manager will provide leadership and direction for a sales team that meets and exceeds customer expectations, develops and executes sales strategies that exceeds the teams financial (top line sales, margin expectations, and EBITDA) and non-financial goals. The Sales & Market Manager is charged with assembling and leading a team to develop a business plan that clearly outlines our strategies around growing market share, acquiring and retaining customers, developing key markets, and setting strategic price points that allow us to grow at a steady and profitable rate. The Sales & Market Manager will be responsible for performance management of the sales team to ensure their team achieves our overall goals and objectives.

Job Location

  • This is a remote role based out of Middlefield, OH. Candidates can be located anywhere in the US but are required to report to Middlefield, OH a few times a year.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead a commercial team to drive new business and grow existing accounts in the respective markets.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with safety, quality, production and customer service teams to provide reliable customer experience.
  • Reviews market analyses and develops and implements strategic commercial initiatives and sales plans to exceed monthly and annual sales targets; builds and develops a sales team through KPI tracking, coaching, and leadership.
  • Manage the sales forecast by territory and market.
  • Responds to customer’s needs in a focused and service-oriented manner, quickly addressing issues to provide world class results.
  • Develops market and value-based pricing strategies based on commercial tools, CRM software, dashboards, real market feedback, and industry knowledge.
  • Reviews and comments on all contracts; takes the lead on resolving contractual issues.
  • Support new product launch, expansion and growth initiatives … create commercial strategies to enter new markets and acquire new customers
  • Drive total Oldcastle Infrastructure message by recognizing opportunities and collaborating with other Oldcastle business units including but not limited to working closely with the National Solutions and other teams to value-sell and support strategic initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This is a travel-focused position; must be willing to travel upwards of 50-75% of the time. Travel may include trade shows, customer site visits to provide product training or sales presentations, etc.

Job Requirements

  • BS degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.
  • 5+ years sales management experience in PVC fittings market preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand blueprints and contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet with customers, review prepared bids, negotiate and close deals.
  • Strong business and financial acumen that translates to sound, profitable sales, and business decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to relate across multiple levels with contractors, engineers, subs and government officials.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM software.
  • Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Job Salary

  • Annual salary is 100-120k plus travel reimbursement and annual bonus.
