You are a Leader that excels in a team environment. You are an experienced department manager in the insurance industry. You are able to manage through challenging insurance issues and resolve them. You can make tough decisions and also have compassion for our clients and members of the team. You possess high emotional intelligence and can be depended upon to do what you say you will do. You know how to set goals/quotas and manage the team to achieve them. You currently have a Property and Casualty License in the state of Florida and have worked in the insurance industry for at least five years.

  • You will lead our personal lines team. You will be of service and support to the retention business for the agency. You possess excellent decision making and problem-solving skills necessary to grow and retain our client base as well as uncover solutions to challenging situations that will arise with the carriers and clients. You will also work with our management team to develop and implement successful strategies, programs and processes.
  • You will be responsible to manage, lead, evaluate, appraise, reward, discipline and coach the existing team. In addition, you will participate in the hiring process and onboarding of new team members.

Base Salary is $75,000 with Bonus opportunities on top

Responsibilities

Leading the day to day operations of the personal Lines account managers and support staff, including staffing recommendations based upon annual revenue growth.

  • Inspire and coach your personal lines team by setting performance goals, tracking progress and providing feedback while overseeing their personal career development.
  • Responsible for the review and revision of departmental procedures and workflows to improve department productivity, efficiency or customer experience keeping pace with technology advancements, industry or market changes.
  • Responsible for strategic planning on scaling operational effectiveness of the department utilizing new industry technologies.
  • Assure E&O compliance and mitigating risks.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements
  • 2-20 Property and Casualty License in the state of Florida is required
  • Prior management and personal lines experience is required
  • Thorough understanding of personal lines underwriting and insurance coverage is required and you will be tested
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft products, AMS and CRM systems
