Who We Are: EdLogical Group was founded in 2009 by Dianne and Hector Valentin with the primary focus of providing exceptional Special Education Services to students. EdLogical offers top-notch service provision to those students who receive special education services and supports. We have assisted charter schools and school districts in navigating the complexities of Special Education. We have done this by providing high-quality, experienced, and knowledgeable special educators. All EdLogical team members are professional educators or practicing clinicians with a comprehensive understanding of the programmatic, administrative and fiscal issues of program development and service delivery.
Purpose of the Position: Provides specialized instruction to pupils to meet the goals and objectives as developed in the students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Uses effective classroom and/or behavior management techniques to achieve a safe and functional learning atmosphere for all students. Observes and makes ongoing evaluation of students academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records, prepares progress reports, and communicates with parents on the individual students progress. Able to comfortably apply a total communication or auditory/oral training approach to instruction in a self-contained setting. Fluent in Signing Exact English and American Sign Language to provide instruction in both modalities in the appropriate subjects and/or settings. Adjusts hearing aids, FM units, and cochlear implant processors as needed and directed by the audiologist to appropriately serve individual students.

Minimum Skills or Qualifications: Education:
Must hold a Bachelors degree.
Minimally possesses a valid California credential authorizing the teaching in a Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe classroom as determined by assignment.
Area of Emphasis: Possess a valid California credential for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. Experience:
Successful student teaching experience with the Deaf and/or Hard of Hearing.
Teaching experience with Deaf and Hard of Hearing children or in a regular classroom is desired.
Have knowledge of the use of assistive listening devices and other assistive technology.
Must possess, or be eligible for a California credential authorizing services as a teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Must possess a private vehicle, valid California drivers license and carry current automobile insurance with at least minimum coverage for public liability and property damage.
Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met.

Desirable Qualifications: - Experience working with children with visual impairments age birth through 21 years of age
- Experience working with children with severe disabilities
