As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible to prepare and sort documents for data entry, entering data into database software and checking to ensure the accuracy of the data that has been inputted, resolving discrepancies in information, and obtaining further information for incomplete documents, responding to information requests from employees and customers, and entering product and shipping information into related software. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and be an accurate typist with a keen eye for detail. You will report to a data manager or another senior data team member. An understanding that all data is highly confidential is required.

This position is not available to work remotely, and is based out of our headquarters in Wheat Ridge, CO.

Job Responsibilities;

• Must have strong skills in reading and speaking English
• Ability to enter data efficiently, timely and without mistakes in order to meet deadlines
• Must be proficient with all Microsoft Office software
• Update and verify data by comparing it to source documents
• Retrieve data from the database or electronic files, as requested
• Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
• Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
• Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners
• Must have strong skills in reading and speaking English
• Type in data provided directly from customer paper files

Required Experience, Job Skills and Travel Distance to Work:

• Proven experience as data entry clerk (1 yr. minimum/2 yr. preferred)
• Accurate typing skills 40 WPM or faster
• Advanced knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets: Microsoft Office Word, Excel is required
• Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
• Basic understanding of databases
• Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills.
• Great attention to detail.
• Must live within 30 minutes of Wheat Ridge

Required Education:

• High school degree or equivalent.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: $17 to $20 per hour, based on experience
