About the job Curriculum Developer II
Overview :
The role involves developing engaging training content to help John Deere dealers better support customers and improve performance. The primary focus is on dealership parts professionals, but it also includes company personnel and customers, providing them with product knowledge and professional skills. The job requires using sound instructional design and adult learning principles to determine and develop the appropriate training methods and media. Additionally, it involves modifying content and delivery based on evaluation findings, maintaining an electronic repository of learning content and data files, and presenting project information to stakeholders. There may also be opportunities to deliver training throughout the year.
Tasks/Responsibilities :
- Project management/Create Training Content Ability to successfully manage and execute multiple projects assigned at once, while meeting deadlines
- Collect, edit, and produce training media inclusive of video, audio, and still photography (as needs arise)
- Develop, review, and publish training content for multiple projects
- Work with outside vendors as needed for projects to be completed
- Review supplied reports and data analyze training reports, NPS scores, training feedback comments, and summary reports of projects to improve as suggested
- Manages storage locations for files, videos, and content to be able to share and make accessible for others
- Presentations present project details/content/timelines to John Deere stakeholders
- Training content delivery From time to time may be required to serve as an instructor to deliver training content to Dealer and Deere employees
- Ensure clear communication is in place with manager for all content and classes, leaving nothing unknown to manager and key stakeholders
- May receive work direction from other stakeholders within the training organization for special projects
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and communicate those opportunities, along with recommendations, to parts training development process owner(s)
- Up to 15% travel to dealerships/events for photo/video opportunities

- Agriculture, Automotive, Marketing, or Training Development background
- Experience with Articulate/video creation/creative projects and editing
- Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage meetings with subject matter experts, meet deadlines and understand a variety of products and systems
Additional Skills :
- Education - Degree in Marketing/Communications/Training/Business preferred but not required
- Equivalent experience can substitute for Education/Degree
- Position available to recent college graduates
- May be required to present training to larger audience about 25% of the time or more
- Capacity to work with different topics and teams, understanding their specific needs and adapting communication styles accordingly
