*We have open positions for Area Supervisor. The hours would be flexible and subject to daily operational needs.
***FLEXIBLE Schedule - Part time position 20-25 hours per week base schedule would be 4p-8p. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

**Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, meeting with clients, conducting building inspections, planning and promoting the daily schedule of assigned employees, training new staff, checking multiple sites, completing tasks with staff such as vacuuming, lifting large bags of Trash, Cleaning/sanitizing restrooms, dusting, sweeping and mopping.

Position Overview: The Janitorial Area Supervisor oversees the cleaning operations within a designated area, ensuring that all locations meet the company's cleanliness and maintenance standards. This role involves managing a team of janitorial staff, conducting quality control inspections, ensuring customer satisfaction, providing employee training, and covering shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervision and Management:
    • Oversee the daily operations of janitorial staff within assigned areas.
    • Schedule and coordinate cleaning tasks to ensure all areas are covered efficiently.
    • Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback.
  2. Customer Satisfaction:
    • Maintain open communication with clients to understand their needs and address any concerns promptly.
    • Ensure all client complaints and requests are handled quickly and effectively.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster trust and satisfaction.
  3. Quality Control Inspections:
    • Conduct regular inspections of cleaning sites to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations.
    • Identify areas needing improvement and implement corrective actions.
    • Document inspection results and communicate findings to both management and staff.
  4. Employee Training:
    • Develop and implement training programs for new hires and ongoing staff development.
    • Ensure all employees are trained on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and use of equipment.
    • Conduct regular training sessions to keep staff updated on new procedures and industry standards.
  5. Call Out Coverage:
    • Manage and coordinate coverage for any call outs or absences within the janitorial team.
    • Be prepared to step in and cover shifts if necessary to maintain service levels.
    • Develop a contingency plan for unexpected absences to ensure continuous service.
  6. Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, performance, and training.
    • Prepare reports on cleaning activities, inspections, and customer feedback.
    • Assist in budgeting and resource allocation for the janitorial department.
  7. Health and Safety:
    • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health and safety regulations.
    • Provide guidance and enforce safety standards to prevent accidents and injuries.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and implement improvements as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory role within the janitorial or cleaning industry.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff and clients.

*Paydays are twice a month on the 3rd and 17th of each month. If the 3rd or 17th falls on a weekend or holiday then payday will be the next business day after.
